This week the College has come to life again, with Year 7s now joining our Year 11 and 12 students. Happy days and school-day routines have resumed. Students and staff are loving the classroom interactions, bells, noise, chatter, movement, laughter and community connectedness. Another dimension of energy and delight will soon ‘deck the halls’ when our Year 8-10 students return. They can be assured of a warm (and maybe raucous) welcome back.
Mercy Day on 17 September is one of the most significant and joyful days in our school year. COVID and all related restrictions have caused us to ‘pivot’ many of our traditional Mercy Day activities. However, the enterprise, creativity and sustained planning efforts of many people, including our student leaders, are ensuring that a wide range of virtual activities will enable the College community as a whole to honour our Mercy heritage and have some fun.
